As I said before, I'd be putting up my History Day stuff so here is my very own THESIS STATEMENT!
In September 1957, nine African American youth were denied the right to enter Little Rock Central High School, resulting in President Eisenhower sending troops to escort the students inside. The leadership Eisenhower displayed took a stand against discrimination, sparking progress that paved the way for federal acts of desegregation passed in the 1960s.
